The Swamp is a cursed region with rotten dead bodies of people who are condemned in the Underworld. Intruders are forbidden to look the dead in the eye due to the fear of being hexed. The Swamp can only come into existence according to the Bad Omen. It's a dreadful region, consisting of possessed trees and the Astarte's Demons. Illyrian Warriors (2), (3) and Baldo were killed in the Swamp during Mathayus's quest to acclaim the Sword of Damocles. It's the only route to Astarte's Chamber.
