Gannen Harst is Vancha's brother. Remained a Vampaneze when his brother was re-blooded and became a Vampire. Gannen becomes Steve Leonard's personal protector, encourages Steve to try the coffin of fire to see if he is the destined lord of the vampaneze and possibly even the one who blooded Steve. Gannen is by Steve's side wherever he goes. Gannen in the end grows tired of his insane Lord but still fights for him, even wounding his brother Vancha. After Steve's death he, along with Vancha, impregnates Evanna.
