The year 1982 was not very good years for the Super Friends, let alone any Super Hero shows. Our heroes continued on ABC starting off the Saturday morning lineup with reruns titled The Best of the Super Friends. It would only show reruns of the 30 minute adventures. None of the seven minute shorts were rebroadcast. Although this season did not feature any new episodes, the Superfriends did appear in a TV advertisement from Post Cereals, where they face off against the supervillain known as Icicle.
