Mark McDonnell trained at the Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh and appeared on Coronation Street as DC Rudd in April 1995. His other TV and film credits include roles in High Road, Rab C. Nesbitt, Velvet Soup, Sweet Charity, Still Game, Revolver, Rebus, Taggart, Ideal, The Life and Adventures of Nick Nickleby and Electric Man. He has also performed in over fifty dramas for BBC Radio 4.
