She forms a close bond with fellow survivor and group member, Daryl Dixon. The character's final arc revolves around being held captive by Officer Dawn Lerner at Grady Memorial Hospital, with Rick's group's subsequent efforts to find and rescue her being the main focus of the fifth season's first half.
