The Comité bénévole de prévention des incendies de Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs is a volunteers comity of 7 persons created by the municipality for fire prevention. In 2014, the comity decided to buy equipment for fire protection (two trailers with water tanks, portable pump, hoses, axes, lights, etc.). Normally serves by the Service de Sécurité Incendie de Rivière-du-Loup (L'Isle-Verte), the access to the isle is so difficult that sometimes, it is impossible to cross a fire truck from L'Isle-Verte. That equipment assures a minimal protection in case of fire.
