The play is cast and Len agrees to make the scenery. Mr. Birtles arrives but Sheila remains adamant that she is not going to live with her parents. Linda suspects Elsie of having had an affair with Len. Florrie agrees to keep the Birtles informed on how Sheila is. Emily is cast as the lead in the play. Swindley is annoyed when she is keen to find out how Edwin's production is going.
