Demiourgos (デミウルゴス, Demiurugosu, lit. "Demiurge" in Latin), also known as its weaker form Abraxas (アブラクサス, "Aburasakkusu") is first introduced as a Menos Grande-level Hollow, but during events at the climax of Part III, due to unknown reasons as of yet, Abraxas transcends its kind and becomes a living distortion that threatens Soul Society, Hell, and the World of the Living. Abraxas then goes on a rampage destroying anything in its path including Shichitenhakki. It overpowered Mitsuru and Agito and their comrades until Gai, back from the dead, arrived to help and destroyed it.
