Vulli released a Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends playset in 1984. The set came with a figure-8 of track, a battery-operated Thomas, a blue passenger coach, plastic standees of the Fat Controller, and two railway workers. It featured a bridge, station, signal, and working crossing gates and points.
