Nate's great-great-grandfather was a soldier in the US Army that served in 1945, fighting in World War II. When he went to war, he left his pregnant wife back in the United States, who gave birth to his son while he was away. Following the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the war ended and he was able to reunite with his wife and meet his son for the first time.
