The shatter beam was an arm-mounted energy weapon used in Juggernaut war droids during the Old Republic. When fired, the weapon could create a steady stream of coherent energy for several minutes, not unlike a composite-beam laser. The energy discharge carried considerable kinetic force, and was capable of tearing a durasteel door off its frame.
