Tos Kiurne was born on Kel Dor in 27 BBY. As he was born before the end of the Clone Wars, he remembers the Old Republic. Just a child when the Clone Wars started, he watched as the Republic fought against the forces of General Grievous and the Separatists during the Battle of Kel Dor. Thus, from an early age, Tos had an appreciation for the Republic. He had a devotion to the ideals of democracy and what it could do for the people of the galaxy. His father supported Supreme Chancellor Palpatine at first, but after Palpatine made more and more bids for power, his father knew that soemthing was amiss.
