André Joseph Armand Pronovost (born July 9, 1936, in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec) is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward. He played junior hockey with the Montreal Junior Canadiens from 1953-56. Pronovost began his career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1956. He won four straight Stanley Cups with Montreal 1957-58-59-60. Traded to the Boston Bruins in 1960, he played there for two seasons and was traded to the Detroit Red Wings. A salary dispute in 1964 helped lead to his demotion to the minors.
