Numerous sponsors will contact Rachel Teller at the beginning of each stage, and she will allow the player to choose from any available sponsors upon them completing their first race event of that stage. The amount of sponsors offered to the player will differ depending on the average reputation they have earned from races in the previous stage. Sponsorships require the player to take part in URL races, races of the sponsor's choosing that are highlighted by X icons on the minimap, a specific number of races of the player's choice, and a number of DVD cover shoots.
