Tir Karna was a Bajoran male who worked as a teacher. He was married to Remara and they had a son, Berin. Karna and his son were killed when Gul Toran ordered the destruction of the shuttle Taklan when it was commandeered by Bajorans trying to escape a life of slavery on Terok Nor.
