Imaginatively named, Industrial Town was formed as a compromise to place some distance between the factories and industries of San Andreas and its residents in the Oldtown area. While the original plan called for little or no settlement or governance of the Industrial part of San Andreas, the facts of life for many of those who came to work in the area quickly necessitated both. While the Oldtown area is known for its crime rate the Industrial area is known for its poverty. Originally settled by those who are too poor to afford fares between work and living in the antiquated tenemants of Oldtown, the inhabitants of this area survive in tiny apartments under the constant pollution of the industrial world run rampant.
