Big Maxi Boss Gurunda was the name given by the Gungans to a particular stone statue, one of the numerous remains of the Elder civilization that dotted the landscape of Naboo. Around the year 33 BBY, the Chiss pirate and art collector Swagg tried to steal Big Maxi Boss Gurunda and other such statues. The thief's plan, however, was thwarted by Captain Roos Tarpals, and the statuary effigies were move back into their proper positions at the Gungan Sacred Place, a sunken temple located north of the Lianorm Swamp.
