The Brothers of Shadow were monks corrupted by the Shadow Dragon when the creature took control of their monastery in the plateau between the serpent's Fangs. They have been originally a sepataratist sect of the Brotherhood of Shinsei. They were kept as a hidden resource by the Shadow Dragon, which sent as an abbot a Shio no Oni. Inside the monastery was located the Book of Shadows, the alleguedly lost Seventh Book of Enlightenment.
