Erstam is a very powerful mage on the Serpent Isle in Ultima VII Part Two, who had lived through the entire time of the new settlement. He also was one of the initiators of the settlement. Erstam was a mage in Moon, searching for the secret of immortality. He had already met partial success when Lord British ordered the cleasing of Moon, throwing out all the corrupt mages and turning the city into Moonglow. The corrupt mages felt that they didn't have a future in Britannia and Erstam became their representative. Together with two other unhappy groups from old Fawn and the Montors, they left for the Serpent Isle.
