Unlike the classic RG670DX, which had a basswood body, this model's body is made of mahogany. The RG670MH features a maple and walnut Super Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The body-neck connection is with a traditional bolt on joint with a metal plate, although in this case the plate is tilted to allow easier access to the upper frets. Components include the Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut, Gotoh tuners and Ibanez pickups in an HSH configuration.
