Cardassia First was a political movement on Cardassia in the 2380s that was opposed to the Cardassian Union being part of the Khitomer Accords. Several individuals had earlier been members of the Directorate. Evek Temet led the group. In 2385, Castellan Rakena Garan decided to return to Cardassian from Deep Space 9 due to information that Cardassia First might triumph in the upcoming elections on Cardassia.
