Weirda is Gonzo's mother, as seen in Baby Gonzo's Superman-inspired account of his origins from the Muppet Babies episode "Fozzie's Family Tree". A resident of the planet Crouton, Weirda (after Superman's mother Lara) is ironing laundry when her husband Sor-Elbow comes home to tell her that their planet is becoming normal. With little time left for their planet, she urges her husband to send their baby away before he loses his weirdness. Weirda sports poofy, orange hair and wears a purple outfit with ringed epaulettes and a large W on her belt buckle.
