Alderic is a human character who appears in the Smurfs comic book story "The Flute Smurfers". He is a sorcerer who is friends with Papa Smurf, who practices his magical arts in secret for fear of the people. In the story, he summons Papa Smurf through a letter to help him deal with a case of a person who has fallen ill with the case of "Monotone Melancholy." In response, Papa Smurf and his little Smurfs create a magic flute with which the sorcerer could use to cure the person of that condition.
