Bill Dean (3rd September, 1921 - 20th April, 2000) was a British actor perhaps most famous for his role as the cantankerous Harry Cross on Channel 4 soap opera Brookside in the 1980s. He played a Taxi Driver on Coronation Street in 1968 and a Postman in 1970, and his other credits include Man in a Suitcase, The Sweeney, The Liver Birds and When the Boat Comes In.
