Daniel José Older is the author of "Born in the Storm", a short story which appears in the anthology From a Certain Point of View, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, about Sardis Ramsin, a stormtrooper riding a dewback. He has his love of dewbacks from a young age at multiple occasions. A currently unknown Star Wars novel written by Older was announced at New York Comic Con 2017.
