An Equitoriam was a rank structure within the Romulan Star Empire. Held by the lowest ranking officers within the Romulan Imperial Navy. It comprised of the second largest group of officers in the naval ranks and performed duties that were the equivalent of an Ensign in Starfleet. Most officers of this position were in on-the-job training for their duties as leaders whilst those that never displayed such qualities never rose higher then this rank.
