Anna Hope (born 1974 in Manchester) is a writer and actress who appeared on Coronation Street in the role of an unnamed Doctor in September 2011, with a return to the role in September of the following year. Educated at Oxford's Wadham College, RADA and Birkbeck College in London, she has been credited for roles in The Long Firm, ShakespeaRe-Told, Tardisodes, Doctor Who and Waking the Dead. Her first novel entitled "Wake" was published in January 2014 and she was on the shortlist for the New Writer of the Year 2014 of the National Book Awards.
