An Indian archive under the administrative control of the Cultural Affairs Department of the Mantralaya since 28 June 1993, having previously been under the General Administrative Department. Head offices Mumbai, with regional offices at Kolhapur, Pune, Vidharbha and Marathwada. The archives are the oldest of their kind in India, being founded in 1821 with the earliest document being dated to 1630. The website is [1] - link broken May 2015.
