Zangetsu is the name of Ichigo's zanpakuto. It's spirit manifests either as an middle-aged man with long hair in a tattered black coat and as a young man in a hooded tattered black coat when he is using bankai, or as a pale, psychotic doppelganger of Ichigo when his Hollow side takes over, although both forms of Zangetsu can manifest seperately.
