John Tomlinson is a British comics writer and editor. For his writing he has sometimes used the pseudonym Steve Alan, having noticed the preponderance of successful people called "Steve" or "Alan" in the comics industry so he opted to combine the two names as a pseudonym. He worked in both capacities for Marvel UK on the successive Action Force titles.
