Perhaps one of Izumi's more deadly techniques, Lightning Release: Surge of Lightning discharges chakra-infused lightning conjured by the user into various conduits overloading the target or object with electrical energy. Depending on the amount of chakra discharged the jutsu can jump start a dead piece of machinery or numb a target's limbs temporarily. More forceful use of this ability can electrocute a human opponent, sometimes to fatal effect.
