Iosif Harkonnen was the son of Count Abulurd III Harkonnen. Sometime after 603 AG he was caught in bed with emperor Audrii I's son. As a result, the Harkonnens were disgrced for a second time in Abulurd's life, demoted to their lesser title of Lords Tupelo, and were required to pay a large fine into the Imperial treasury.
