The E20 Series was created as John York (controller, Drama Production & New Talent) wanted to improve the portrayal of teenagers in EastEnders and he also wanted younger people to write for E20. The lives of the characters in E20 intertwine with lives of the EastEnders characters, but the EastEnders characters do not play a significant roll in E20.
