Mr. Hardwood appeared in the third series episode "Amy and Amiability", and was played by Warren Clarke. Mr. Blackadder wanted Prince George to marry Mr. Hardwood's daughter, because Blackadder believed the Hardwood family to be extremely rich. However, the truth was that the Hardwood family was impoverished. Mr. Hardwood was ultimately killed by his own daughter.
