The Tenpi Kamigami (てんぴかみがみ Sun Guardians) are an elite group of five shinobi within the military of Taiyougakure. The sankei or the Village Head of Taiyougakure is normally selected from this group as it consists of some of the strongest shinobi within Taiyougakure. The Tenpi Kamigami work collectively as a team in combat, they have no leader as they work together to make decisions.
