Private Peterson fought in the 1st Infantry Division under the command of Sgt. Hawkins. Peterson can be scene fighting with the player's squad during the level "Farewell to Friends". It's possible for him to die, but it is common for him to live and sometimes have another soldier by the same and rank appear when the first one is still alive.
