The Stairwell Key is one of the many keys that Heather Mason comes across throughout Silent Hill 3. The key can be found in room C4, located on the first floor of Brookhaven Hospital. It is glued to the wall along with many other objects, and alongside them is a diary entry from Stanley Coleman. A part of the note reads: "You can peel it off, can't you, with that junk those nasty wenches won't stop using?" Stanley refers to the nail polish remover found inside the 2F women's locker room. After using the nail polish remover on the glued key, Heather is able to pry it off and take it. It is then used to unlock the door to the eastern stairwell.
