Captain George Fiott Day VC CB (20 June 1820 – 18 December 1876) was one of the earliest English recipients of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was also a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour. In 1857, he was again off the west coast of Africa, and in late 1858 he sailed for the China station. He was placed on the Captain's retired list in February, 1867, owing to ill health. He retired with the rank of Captain.
