Scam by: Location: Service: Profit: Loss: Cause of failure: First appearance: Other appearances: Featured in: The Gerbil For A Day scam was one that Eddy came up with in "Ed in a Halfshell." For the mere price of 25 cents, one could rent a gerbil (really Ed) for twenty-five seconds. The only prospective customer was Kevin, who was not sold on the idea even after Eddy offered to throw in a free salt lick. Before Eddy could find another sucker, Sarah entered the site where the scam was being held and then threatened Ed into becoming Jimmy's playmate for the day while she was at a ballet lesson. The Eds then had to abandon the scam in order to spend time with Jimmy.
