The monastery featured several gardens and arboretums with rivers, plants, waterfalls, and bridges. In 2369, Commander Benjamin Sisko visited the monastery and met Vedek Bareil Antos for the first time in the gardens of the monastery. Bareil started his service at the monastery as a gardener, after the Occupation of Bajor. (DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets")
