In Tales of Symphonia, Genis Sage can learn this spell after learning Spark Wave and Grave, if he is aligned with the "Strike" branch of artes. When Earth Bite is cast, a small ball of electricity surrounds the target and shocks it multiple times, causing Lightning-based damage. Then, a hemisphere of earth erupts from the ground surrounding the enemy and engulfs it, hitting it twice more for Earth-based damage. This spell is notable as Genis's only spell that does two different types of elemental damage.
