Details: In the late 1980s, Daniel Blaszczuk was the treasurer of the island of Frenchboro, Maine, when he was accused of embezzeling more than $5,000 from the town. He apparently cashed several checks to the town for more than $5,250, and then moved away in 1988 and was never seen again. He is now wanted by the authorities for embezzlement. Extra Notes: The original airdate of the segment is unrevealed. Results: Captured. In 2010, twenty years after Blaszczuk vanished, he was found living in Connecticut. He was discovered by a man named Erik Fitch, who worked as an emergency dispatcher and found Blaszczuk's name in the Connecticut DMV. Erik claimed that he rememberd the man's name because his father, a former detective, was on Unsolved Mysteries when he was six and that it stuck with him.
