The 1959 Catawba 250 was a Convertible Series event held at Hickory Motor Speedway on March 22, 1959. Curtis Turner won his series-record 38th and final career race, holding off Junior Johnson by one second. It was Johnson's first ever series start. Eventual season champ Joe Lee Johnson was 3rd. Stats
