Corola III was the third planet in the Corola star system, located within Federation space, in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. It was a Class G world. Initially the planet was the site of small Orion colony, but during the Four Years War, the inhabitants fled an approaching Klingon Task Force and never returned. Following the war, Starfleet laid claim to the planet for use as a subsidiary base for the nearby Starbase 27.
