In KQ6, the Sword Cursor replaces the 'Hand' cursor after Alexander picks up the Ceremonial sword in the tower of the Castle of the Crown. Depending on the version of the game, Alexander uses the cursor once or twice to defeat Abdul Alhazred in a duel. In KQ8, the Sword Cursor appears whenever Connor draws his hand weapon. One can temporarily change the cursor from the sword cursor to the Play Cursor, by pressing and holding the CTRL key.
