Francis of Assisi (circa 1181/1182 – October 3, 1226) was a human male who lived in what would later become central Italy. Francis would become renowned as one of the most venerated religious leaders in human history. (Historical accounts) After being assigned as first officer of the Enterprise-D William Riker recalled that his C.O. on the Yorktown made Captain Jean-Luc Picard seem like Francis of Assisi. (TNG novel: Ghost Ship)
