Lord Verenton was an aristocratic being whose family owned the valuable crystal mines on Travix Prime. Although he was hideous and horrifying in appearance by humanoid standards, he considered himself a polite gentlemen. He also had established a rapport with the Empire by supplying local Imperial bodies with the produce of his mines, and was thus able to garner the assistance of Imperial agent Varris Tralen when his life came under threat by an unknown body.
