Chief Bloodjaw's real name is Lucilla Tavertanien, but she is famous under a name she earned by biting chunks from the cheeks of captured cowherds before hamstringing them. She does not clean the blood from her mouth, so her teeth are rotten and her breath stinks. Her band is extremely effective, and rumours say she has recently displayed miraculous powers similar to those displayed by Master Gunnslieb.[1a]
