A cryochamber was a chamber to put a cryocorpse (frozen person) into. Some were portable, most were not. They could store a frozen person at extremely cold temperatures; the expectation was that the person would be taken out and revived as soon as it was feasible to do so. Note: The technology for a cryochamber is within Real Life capabilities. Far more advanced is the technology for cryopreservation fluids that prevent ice crystals from destroying a person's cells.
