The Child of the Dark is the instrument of the Necessity known also as the Dark Prophecy. The first one was Torak, and then the Necessity claimed Zandramas, and finally Geran. The Necessity known as the Prophecy of Light observed in the Seeress of Kell that there was a philosophical difference between them; those who had been the Child of Light retain some of their powers, where as the Dark Prophecy discarded his instruments when he was finished with them.
